My letter to 2017

More then ever, I am grateful to be standing today because that means that if everything I went through this year did not kill me it only made me stronger. I want to be honest with you guys. 2017 was rock bottom for me, in a lot a ways I felt restricted and lost. For me a well built foundation is being emotionally and spiritually happy. I did not feel that for the vast majority of this year 2017 was filled with a lot of ugly, loss, mistakes, stress , grief and pain. However the past few months have taught me a lot and that is why I believe 2017 will be a year I always remember. There is a quote that I love that says: " Smile despite troubles Grow strength from distress Grow brave by reflecti

A Criminal Defense..

By William L. Myers Hi Bookish Fam, I just finished a Criminal Defense and I’m on the fence. This was my first Legal Thriller and I have to say it was brilliantly written. Honestly I would have never guessed that I would’ve liked a book with this narrative but I cannot wait to pick up another book in this category. This book follows Mick McFarland a Defense Attorney and former Prosecuter. He finds himself in the trial of his life as he needs to represent his close friend David Hanson. David Hanson is being tried for murdering a young reporter who had uncovered corrupt cops and was suponed by the grand jury to expose the person who leaked the information to her. Then suddenly she’s found dead

She doesn't want to fall in love and Andre

Your Perfect Life...

"This is crazy.I call my own cell phone number and hold my breathe.Who will answer? If I've become Rachel, what's become of me?" - Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke. Overall Rating 5/5 Plot Summary: Best friends since childhood, Casey and Rachel couldn’t lead more different lives. While workaholic Casey rubs elbows with celebrities daily as the host of Gossip TV and comes home nightly to an empty apartment, stay-at-home mom Rachel juggles an “oops” baby, two fiery teenagers, and a husband who barely seems the man she fell in love with two decades before. After an argument at their twentieth high school reunion, Casey and Rachel throw back shots to get the night back on track. Instead, they get a lif

Everything , Everything....

“Sometimes you do things for the right reasons and sometimes for the wrong ones and sometimes it’s impossible to tell the difference” - Nicola Yoon Overall Rating: 4/5 Gosh this book was written so beautifully. It kept you wrapped around because it had an easy flowing vibe to it , but also illustrations that is not something I can say I’ve seen a lot in books and honestly that is what I enjoyed most about this book. This book follows Maddy an 18 year-old who has been sheltered from the world because she has a  rare disease ( SCID ) which leaves her confined to the walls of her house. Her mom , her nurse and her books are her best friends.... that is until a new family moves in next door. She
